Public judge the govt. on the basis of their adherence to the
rule of law,political pluralism,minority rights,independent
judiciary,freedom of speech and press,human rights etc.
Elections also can be manipulated.Elected representatives do
not carry the majority and it is only first to the post.
How else will you give the right to rule.At the best we can have a law to recall the inefficient or wrong ones.

NO SIR, elected government is ALWAYS LEGITIMATE.
If the govt. is against popular choice, it is people donot vote & should be treated as illgimate citizens.
Here i can add if people donot vote there citizen ship should be cancelled, as they donot love their country Or are ignorant people.

While there are certainly places where election fraud is the norm, the US is not one of them.
Elections are the method that the people use to demonstrate their will. It’s much more efficient than civil war.
