  1. In ODIs, Jadeja’s place should have gone to Irfan Pathan who is a better all rounder. Ojha should be preferred over Harbhajan in the actual match.
Zaheer and Harbhajan may be good for T-20s. In a T-20, a bowler has to bowl just 24 balls. If a bowler can bowl a dot ball or restrict batsman to a single, it is enough. A bowler need not take wickets. Economical bowling is what is needed. So, I think both Zaheer and Harbhajan are useful T-20 bowlers.
They should have gone by the past T-20 performances. Amit Singh of Rajasthan Royals should have been selected. Amit Mishra bowled well in T-20s. What about Anil Kumble ? Probably he should have been there too as he bowled well for Royal Challengers of Bangalore. MS Gony bowled well for Chennai Super Kings. Munaf Patel and Yo Mahesh also bowled well. Ashish Nehra, Ojha, RP Singh and Zaheer Khan in that order are our best T20 bowlers.

  2. some senior players like Harbhajan and Zaheer are rested to try some youngsters in T20 squad. Its a good decision to include Sreesanth and remove Ishant. Ishant will have to regain his form in two T20 matches to attract the selectors. Its unfair to remove Munaf Patel because he was not given enough chances in previous series. But taking into account the brilliant performance of Sreesanth and making the way for Zaheer, his omission was required. Its a good decision to continue with Ashish Nehra and Praveen Kumar, the two’s had a experience off the last series with the ball. The only thing that makes me worry is inclusion of Ravindra Jadeja. I think Irfan Pathan should be preferred over him.
Overall the team is still a competitive team and is able to beat Sri Lanka comfortably.

  3. With so much cricket happening, why not rest these stars, who are over-worked and are part & parcel of Indian team, for now and for sometime to come in future.
So nothing wrong in giving them little breaks, from meaningless fixtures, such as T-20 in a bilateral series, which has not much significance & giving breaks to untried youngsters, who are knocking on the national team doors but are unable to showcase their talents, for a long time, at least a S.Tyagi would get a chance to show his talent at international stage, be it T-20 but its a start for him & others.

  4. Jadeja, Ojha, Ishanth (test him in ODIs), Praveen and Ashish

  5. Its a 3rd class decision Those are the backbone of the team.Selectors should not drop them out from the team.

  6. i heard they r rested
